Mamimun Art in All 47 Prefectures of Japan
“Everything important is already within you.”
That’s the message I pour into my colorful and pop-inspired artwork.
Among all my creations, I hold a special love for murals.
Murals are magical.
They’re free and open anyone, anytime, from any background can come across them.
And sometimes, that encounter can gently lift your spirits or give you the push you need to keep going.
I first discovered the power of murals when I was 18, living in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺.
Six months after graduating high school, I set off on my very first overseas adventure with a working holiday visa. I was full of excitement only to be met with unexpected homesickness and emotional ups and downs…
What saved me were the street art and murals scattered throughout the city.

I’d come across messages that felt like they saw right into my heart.
Sometimes, just the burst of color alone made me smile for no reason.
These murals never said a word, but I felt like they were always there, quietly on my side.

That’s when I thought that “I wish we had more murals like this in Japan. Art that lives in everyday life and quietly supports people.”
But in Japan, I often saw signs prohibiting painting on walls.
It still feels like there’s a thick wall between art and daily life here.
So I asked myself, "what can I do?"
That’s when the idea came to me that “Why not bring Mamimun Art to all 47 prefectures of Japan?” 🗾
I hope my murals bring small moments of healing and joy to the people who see them,
and that those happy vibes gradually spread throughout the country like a ripple effect of color and light🌈
Since starting this project in January 2023, I’ve completed murals in 4 prefectures (and counting!)✨
📍Tokyo
1. Cafe "Coffee Kobo Himawari" in NIshi-Hachioji, Hachioji
2. Cafe “Nisokuhokou” in Sange-jaya, Shibuya
3. Interior wall of a private home in Shinjuku

📍Saga
1. Public restroom at Zoshuku Station, Arita
2. Public restroom at Meotoishi Station, Arita

📍Nagasaki
1. Waiting room at Nakasasebo Station, Sasebo
2. Exterior at Saza Station, Saza

📍Saitama

From café interiors and public restrooms to train stations and private homes the locations and sizes vary, but thanks to everyone’s support, new Mamimun murals keep coming to life! 🎨
📣 If you know a town or place where you’d love to see Mamimun Art, please let me know! 💌 I’d be so happy to bring my colorful, love-pop-peace murals to your community too! 🌈🪄
